Goods and Services Tax Identification Number (GSTIN) — Glossary

A GSTIN identifies a GST registration. It is distinct from a company identifier, and a business can have registrations in different states or multiple registrations within a state where the applicable rules permit. Confirm the specific registration on the official GST portal. A GSTIN does not replace a CIN or prove current trading or solvency.
