Terms of Service

By accessing or using CorpIntel at corpintel.io (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Site.

These Terms apply to all visitors — whether you are browsing the public discovery surface without signing in, or authenticated as an account holder accessing additional features. Continued use of the Site after any update to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

CorpIntel is an independent platform that aggregates publicly available company data released by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), Government of India, and offers end-to-end corporate services (company registration, GST, trademark, ROC compliance).

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, the Government of India, any Registrar of Companies, or any regulatory authority.

You may use CorpIntel for any lawful purpose, including:

• Researching a single Indian company or director for due-diligence, compliance, or journalistic purposes.
• Verifying a CIN, DIN, or ROC jurisdiction before transacting.
• Browsing sector, state, city, or year-level cohorts to understand formation trends.
• Citing CorpIntel in academic, journalistic, or research work with attribution.
• Using CorpIntel guides and blog posts as reference material in your work.

You must not:

• Use the Site for bulk scraping, rate-limit evasion, automated mirroring, or creating derivative databases that substitute for the Site itself. Programmatic access at scale requires a written licence — contact us at hello@corpintel.io.
• Use the data to harass, threaten, stalk, or discriminate against any individual whose name or directorship record appears on the Site.
• Hold out the Site, or any derived extract from it, as an official MCA source or regulatory certification.
• Use the Site for any activity that violates Indian law, including but not limited to the Companies Act 2013, the Information Technology Act 2000, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, disassemble, or extract the source code of the Site or its underlying infrastructure.
• Misrepresent the Site's content in a way that could cause a reasonable reader to believe that a company, director, or address has been flagged, endorsed, or verified by CorpIntel when it has not.

CorpIntel is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranty that the information on the Site is accurate, complete, current, or fit for any particular purpose. Company data on CorpIntel is derived from public MCA filings and lags real-world events by the time those filings take to be processed — typically days to months depending on filing type.

You should not rely on CorpIntel as the sole basis for any legal, investment, credit, or commercial decision. Always independently verify critical facts directly with the MCA, with the company in question, or through a qualified professional advisor.

Editorial content on CorpIntel — including guides, blog posts, and analytical narratives — represents the opinions and analysis of the named author as of the publication date. Editorial content is not legal advice, investment advice, or a recommendation. Where we cite regulations, filings, or historical events, the primary source controls; if you find a factual error, our corrections policy describes how to report it and what we will do.

Some features require an account. When you register, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that appear to be engaged in prohibited use under Section 4.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting privacy@corpintel.io.

The underlying MCA data is public and governed by the data.gov.in open-data licence. The normalised, clustered, and signal-enriched versions of that data — along with all editorial content, design, layout, and original illustrations on CorpIntel — are copyright of CorpIntel and its contributors.

You may quote editorial content with attribution. You may cite data derived from CorpIntel with attribution. You may not republish editorial content in full without written permission, and you may not redistribute our signal-enriched or pre-computed datasets (lead scores, address-cluster identifiers, network-strength values) without a licence.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CorpIntel and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site — including, without limitation, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, data, or other intangible losses. This applies regardless of whether we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our aggregate liability for any direct damages arising out of or related to these Terms is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, which, for users of the free public Site, is zero.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CorpIntel, its founders, employees, and contributors from any claim, liability, cost, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your use of the Site in a manner that violates applicable law or the rights of any third party.

If you believe a specific record on CorpIntel contains an error, or if you are the subject of a director-profile page and believe your data has been surfaced incorrectly, please follow the process on our corrections policy page. We prioritise correction requests and respond within two working days.

Note that we cannot remove a record that is accurate and derives from public MCA filings — the underlying data is public by statute. We can and do correct genuine errors, handle identity-confusion cases, and suppress specific fields where there is a demonstrated privacy or safety concern.

CorpIntel contains links to third-party websites (MCA, data.gov.in, external references). These links are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party website.

CorpIntel may display third-party advertisements provided by Google AdSense or other ad networks to support the free tier of the platform.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be surfaced via a banner on the Site for a reasonable period. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
