1. Introduction
Welcome to CorpIntel ("we", "our", or "us"). CorpIntel is a free public intelligence platform providing data on companies registered with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), India. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use and protect it.
By using our website at corpintel.io (the "Site") or creating an account, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Account data (registered users only)
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address — used to identify your account and send important notices.
- Name — displayed in your profile; sourced from your Google or LinkedIn profile when you sign in via OAuth, or entered by you during registration.
- Password hash — a one-way bcrypt hash stored when you register with email and password. We never store your plain-text password.
- Authentication provider — whether you signed up via Google, LinkedIn, or email and password.
2.2 Usage data (all visitors)
We use Google Tag Manager and may deploy analytics tags (such as Google Analytics) through it. These tools may collect:
- Pages visited and time spent
- Referring website or search query
- Browser type, operating system, and screen resolution
- Anonymised IP address
We use usage data to understand and improve the Site. Google processes information collected by its tags under its own privacy policy. Advertising technology, when enabled, is described separately below.
2.3 Public company data
The company and director information displayed on CorpIntel is sourced from publicly available MCA / data.gov.in datasets and third-party public directories. This data is not collected from individual users of our Site.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To authenticate you and maintain your session when you sign in.
- To personalise your experience on the intelligence dashboard.
- To send transactional emails (e.g., account confirmation or security notices).
- To understand how the Site is used and to improve its performance and content.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell account data or send account passwords to advertising providers. Google advertising technology, when enabled, may use cookies and related identifiers as explained below.
4. Third-Party Services
We rely on the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Google Sign-In — OAuth authentication. Google Privacy Policy
- LinkedIn Sign-In — OAuth authentication. LinkedIn Privacy Policy
- Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics — site usage analytics. Google Privacy Policy
- Hostinger — server hosting. Account and directory data are stored in a MongoDB database operated on our server. Hostinger Privacy Policy

5. Cookies
CorpIntel uses session cookies to keep you signed in after authentication. These cookies are essential for the Site to function and do not track you across other websites.
Analytics tags delivered through Google Tag Manager may use additional cookies. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings.
Google advertising cookies and choices
When Google advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this Site and other websites. Google and its partners may use these advertising cookies to personalise ads. Ad tags can contact advertising servers even when no visible ad is displayed.
You can manage personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings. You can also find participating third-party vendor opt-out choices at YourAdChoices. These choices do not disable essential sign-in cookies.
AdSense ad serving is currently disabled on CorpIntel while site readiness and advertising consent configuration are being completed. Before activation, we will provide the applicable consent choices, including a Google-certified consent platform for covered regions, and update this policy to reflect the providers actually used.
6. Data Retention
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request erasure, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be used to identify you.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below. We will respond within 30 days.
You may also object to our processing of your data or withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
8. Data Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), bcrypt password hashing, and access controls on our database. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
CorpIntel is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
