Status is an MCA-assigned state, not an editorial one. The shares below show where entities sit across active, strike-off, dissolved, dormant, and the smaller intermediate states — useful as a health check on the register at large.
- 'Active' is a filing status, not an operational one. A company with 'Active' and zero annual filings for five years is heading toward strike-off but still reads as active here.
- 'Strike Off' is the outcome of an MCA initiative (most commonly under Section 248) — it removes a non-compliant entity from the register without winding it up.
- Dormant companies have filed a formal Section 455 dormant declaration; they are on the register on purpose, with reduced compliance.
The ratio of Active to Strike-Off is partly a lagging indicator of past Ministry enforcement drives, not a current-period health signal.
