Form DIR-12 (Director Particulars) (DIR-12)

The form used to notify the ROC of director appointments, cessations, and changes.

Definition

Form DIR-12 is filed with the ROC to notify any change in directors of a company — appointments, cessations, resignations, changes in designation. It must be filed within 30 days of the change. The accuracy of CorpIntel's director list depends on timely DIR-12 filings. Delays between a real-world director change and its reflection in master data are almost entirely due to late DIR-12 filings.
